Special routes during Nokia Arena events

The streets near Sorin aukio can be closed to traffic during the Nokia Arena's biggest events, in order to make public move safely in the area. In case of closures, buses operating through Vuolteenkatu, Kalevantie and Rautatienkatu will then run special routes in the eastern side of the city center. Other buses and trams run normally.

The special routes are announced during the situation in the Nysse Journey Planner as well as on the cabin and stop displays. Special routes are not visible in the Journey Planner due to their short duration.

The area around Nokia Arena will be closed due to the event and buses 2, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 19, 26, 27, 40, 42 ja 95 will run special routes on

  • Friday, September 27, 2024 at 20:00 - 21:45

Please notice, that the detour of lines 7, 9, 19 and 40 does not run through university bus stops due to the construction site at Viinikankatu.

Bus stops in use

Lines 11, 12, 13, 26 and 27 will operate via Ratina shopping center stops Ratina 0120 and Ratina 0121. The route runs from Kyttälä to Ratina via Aleksanterinkatu, with temporary stops near the intersections of Ojakatu and Otavalankatu. From Ratina to railway station, stop Rautatieasema F 0526 is in use.

Lines 2, 7, 9, 19 and 40 use the Hatanpää valtatie stops Sorin aukio F 0523 and Linja-autoasema 0522.

Lines 6 and 42 run to the stop Keskustori M 0041 via Hämeenkatu stop Rautatieasema C 05045. On the route towards Kangasala, the lines use the stop Rautatieasema D 0504.

Line 95 runs to the bus station via Aleksanterinkatu. In the direction of Orivesi, you can catch the bus also from the stop Rautatieasema F 0526.

Temporary change to special routes

The route of lines 7, 9, 19 and 40 does not pass through the University stops due to the Viinikankatu construction site. The special route runs between Kalevanharju and Ratina via Salhojankatu, Viinikankatu and the Tampereen valtatie.

The exception route runs south of the center of Tampere.

The street closures during the Nokia Arena events will affect bus routes in the eastern center of Tampere in the neighborhoods of Ratina, Sori aukio and Kyttälä.
