Special routes during Nokia Arena events

The streets near Sorin aukio can be closed to traffic during the Nokia Arena's biggest events, in order to make public move safely in the area. Buses operating through Vuolteenkatu will then run special routes. Other buses and trams run normally.

The following stops are not available during the closures:

The special routes are announced during the situation in Nysse Journey Planner as well as on the cabin and stop displays. Special routes are not visible in the Journey Planner due to their short duration.

Change to special routes on July 5, 2024

There is a construction site at the intersection of Viinikankatu and Ratapihankatu, which is why lines 2, 7, 9, 19 and 40 will run an extra loop on their detours on Friday 5 July 2024 from 21:00 to 22:45. Due to the situation, all Yliopisto and Yliopistonkatu stops will be off the routes.

Line 2

The route runs between Tammela and Viinikka via Itsenäisyydenkatu and Viinikankatu. The following stops are available on the route:

If necessary, you can transfer from bus 2 to tram 1 or 3 at Tulli stops.

Lines 7, 9, 19 and 40

The routes run between Kalevanharju and Viinikka via Salhojankatu and Viinikankatu. There are no stops on the exception routes.

Exception routes are not visible in the Nysse Journey Planner due to their short duration.
