Nysse Mobiili app
Nysse Mobiili is a mobile application, where you can buy
- a single ticket for 90 minutes
- a day ticket for 24 hours
- a student season ticket for 30 days.
The tickets can be paid by Visa, Visa Electron or Mastercard, MobilePay, mobile payment (phone bill) or by Edenred Transport payment card.
The night fare will be added on the price of the single ticket at 00.00 - 04.40.
The tickets are valid in buses, trams and trains in the zones of your choise.
Tip
Buy your ticket just before your journey, as its validity begins at the time of purchase. The ticket must be valid before boarding a bus, tram, or train.
You must confirm the ticket’s validity using a ticket reader. On buses and trams, the reader is located near the entrance. For train journeys, the ticket reader can be found on the station platform.
The Edenred commuting benefit is available on the Nysse Mobiili app
You can use the Edenred commuting benefit to buy tickets for your own personal use on Nysse Mobiili.
Add the Edenred Transport payment card as a payment method in the Nysse Mobiili app, just as you would with any other payment card.
Please note that on Android phones, Edenred does not yet appear in the list of eligible payment cards, but you can still add it as a payment card.
How to buy a ticket from the Nysse Mobiili app
This guide applies to Nysse Mobiili versions 2.5.0 (Android) or 2.5.1 (iOS), or newer versions of the app.
Select the ticket of your choise. The ticket will start at the time of purchase.
- Single ticket 90 minutes
- Day ticket 24 hours
- The season ticket is for students only. See student instructions here.
Select a customer group based on the age of the passenger:
- Adults: 25 years and older
- Youth: 17-24 years old
- Children: 7-16 years old. Children aged 0-6 travel free of charge when accompanied by an older passenger.
Select the zones you plan to travel in: AB, BC or ABC. Tampere mostly falls into zones AB.
If necessary, change your ticket type, age group or zones by pressing the pencil icon in the ticket details.
Pay for your ticket or buy more tickets as follows:
- Ticket for a friend, same customer group: press the plus button in the ticket details.
- Ticket for e.g. a child, different customer group: press + Add new ticket. Make ticket selections as in step 1.
Please note that you must travel the entire journey together with the person you bought the ticket for. The ticket cannot be sent to another phone. A screenshot or screen recording is not valid as a travel ticket.
Show your ticket before boarding.
- Show the ticket's QR code to the reader on the bottom of the ticket device.
- If you have purchased multiple tickets, confirm the code for each ticket separately. Use the arrow buttons to browse through the tickets.
The ticket device can be found at the bus and tram entrance. For train journeys, the ticket machine is on the station platform.
Other instructions
As a registered user, you can access the purchase history with a new or another device. Create a username in the app or on the administration page: mobiilinysse.fi.
The service can also be used without creating a user ID.
Home: You can find Nysse’s news bulletins and buy tickets directly from the homepage by selecting a ticket product at the top of the page.
Tickets: You can view your valid and expired tickets as well as your purchase history and receipts. You can see the ticket information by clicking the ticket row.
Purchising history and receipts: You can view the purchases you have made and send a receipt to a selected email address. Please notice that your purchase history will not be transferred if you switch to a different phone or user ID. Registered users can also view their purchase history at mobiilinysse.fi/en.

Info: You can view your user ID, change language, add payment cards and check your purchase history. Please notice that your purchase history will not be transferred if you switch to a different phone or user ID.
Confirm your ticket on each of your trips
An inspection fee (€ 80) can be charged for passengers traveling without a confirmed ticket or the right to travel free of charge.
Confirm the validity of your ticket with the ticket device, which can be found on the bus and tram near the entrance.
On train journeys in the Nysse zones, the ticket must be confirmed before the journey begins. The ticket device can be found on the platform.
