Hämeenkatu
The closure of Tampere city centre’s main streets is rare. The situation is usually caused by a major traffic disruption, such as a demonstration, tram track damage or an accident. In such cases, routes that normally run via Hämeenkatu are diverted.
Buses follow planned diversion routes whenever possible. However, these diversion routes are not always shown in Nysse’s route and timetable services, as the situations are usually sudden and short-term.
Disruptions can cause delays, and it may take several hours for services to return to normal. You can view diversion route plans in the map service.
