A new bus stop, Nokia A 9970, will be opened at the Nokia railway station on 2 February 2026, as bus routes are being moved closer to the train tracks due to construction work. At the same time, stop Nokia B 9971 will be closed until further notice.

Stop Nokia A is located at the western end of Rautatienkatu, near to the intersection with Kyyninkatu. All Nokia bus lines 70–79 will use this stop, and its timetables are already available in the Nysse Journey Planner. The stop arrangement is long-term.

A major redevelopment project is underway at the Nokia station, where the entire station area is being rebuilt. A new travel centre is under construction and will serve local and long-distance trains, buses, private cars, as well as pedestrian and bicycle traffic. A new parkandride area has already opened in the area to improve the smoothness of travel chains and the station’s accessibility. The parkandride facility is located on the north side of the rail yard.
