There is construction at the intersection of Nokian valtatie and Souranderintie, which causes line 79 to operate on a detour route starting from 18 August 2025. The route will run in both directions via Lauttala and Poutunpuisto, which will extend travel time by a few minutes.

Additionally, the bus route on Nokian valtatie between Souranderintie and Härkitie will change so that passengers boarding at Härkitie and Nokia E stops will reach the Nokia railway station, but no longer travel directly to Siuro or Linnavuori as before.

The detour will remain in effect well into the autumn.

Towards Siuro and Linnavuori: Rautatienkatu (Nokia B 9971) - Pinsiöntie (Tyttölä 8511) - Härkitie (Poutunpuisto 8662) - Maununkatu (Terveyskeskus 8601) - Souranderintie (- Kerhokatu - Paperitehtaankatu) - Nokian valtatie - Siuron valtatie.
