The bidding process for the operation of Nysse bus routes 77–78, 84–86, and 90–93 has been concluded

At its meeting on 27 August 2025, the Tampere region Public Transportation Committee decided to change the routes of lines 84, 85, and 86 operating in Ylöjärvi, routes 77 and 78 operating in Nokia, and routes 90, 91, 92, and 93 operating in Northern Tampere.

The competitive bidding process was conducted by region in May 2025. By the deadline, two bidders submitted bids for the Ylöjärvi and Nokia areas (Länsilinjat Oy, Koiviston Auto Tampere Oy) and three bidders for the Northern Tampere routes (Länsilinjat Oy, Koiviston Auto Tampere Oy, Oy Pohjolan Liikenne Ab).

A contract for the provision of public transportation services on routes 84, 85, and 86 will be entered into with Länsilinjat Oy for the contract period from 1 June 2026, to 3, June 2029. The contract may be extended for two one-year (1+1) option periods. The routes covered by the contract are

  • 84 Ylöjärvi–Takamaa–Lakiala
  • 85 Ylöjärvi–Kyrönlahti–Kuru
  • 86 Siivikkala–Lielahti–Ylöjärvi 
  • 86X Siivikkala–Vihattula–Ylöjärvi.

A contract for the provision of public transportation services on routes 77 and 78 will be entered into with Länsilinjat Oy for the contract period from 3 August 2026, to 5 August 2029. The contract may be extended for two one-year (1+1) option periods. The routes covered by the contract are

  • 77 Nokian asema–Sammalisto–Tottijärvi(–Pajulahti)
  • 77X Nokian asema–Valtatie 12–Tottijärvi(–Pajulahti)
  • 78 Nokian asema–Sarkola–Tottijärvi.

A contract for the provision of public transportation services on routes 90, 91, 92, and 93 will be entered into with Koiviston Auto Tampere Oy for the contract period from 1 June 2026, to 2 June 2030. The contract may be extended for two one-year (1+1) option periods. The routes covered by the contract are

90 Terälahti–(Maisansalo–)Kämmenniemi–Sorila–Sorin aukio

  • 91 Mäntylä–Terälahti–Kämmenniemi–Eerolansuora–Sorila–Aitoniemi
  • 92 Kämmenniemi–Viitapohja
  • 93 Terälahti–Teiskon kirkko–Kämmenniemi.

The selection criterion for the procurement was overall cost-effectiveness, with price accounting for 95 points and quality for 5 points per item. The final score for the overall comparison was obtained by adding together the price and quality scores. The bidder with the highest score, who was also the most economically advantageous, was selected as the winner.

The Public Transport Committee will make a separate decision regarding the use of option years.
