Bus services suspended on Hämeenkatu on Friday – disruptions also expected in tram traffic
Wednesday, 06. Mayta 2026 klo 16.00
Bus services will not operate on Hämeenkatu on Friday, 8 May 2026, between 13:45 and 15:00. Disruptions are also expected in tram traffic. The reason is a Rollator March proceeding from Koskipuisto to Keskustori.
Tram lines 1 and 3 will operate in the city centre depending on the situation. Service interruptions will begin from 14:00, and resulting delays may continue for several hours.
Diversion routes and stop changes
All bus routes normally operating on Hämeenkatu will run on diversion routes:
- Routes 2, 4, 7, 8, 10 and 30 will be diverted via Kaakinmaa and the Ratinanranta area.
- Routes 40, 90 and 93: departure and terminus stop is Sorin aukio E (Suvantokatu). Routes 90 and 93 will reach the stop via Rautatienkatu.
- Routes 5, 31, 32, 33, 35, 50 and 52: departure and terminus stop is Sorin aukio G (Hatanpään valtatie).
- Routes 70, 72, 80 and 82: terminus stop is Pyynikintori F (market area).
All stops located along the diversion routes will be served by the bus services.
There will be no service at the following bus stops during the disruption:
- Aleksanterin kirkko and Metso
- Keskustori C–L
- Koskipuisto C–D
- Rautatieasema C–D (Hämeenkatu)
- Sorin aukio F (Hatanpään valtatie)
As additional information, buses operating from the west towards the city centre cannot continue as far as Tuulensuu due to construction works along Hämeenpuisto. As a result, the Metso and Aleksanterin kirkko stops will not be served.
Due to the sudden and short-term nature of the situation, the diversion routes will not be shown in the Nysse Journey Planner. However, you can still follow the movement of your route on the Journey Planner map.
Delays caused by route changes may continue into the early evening.
