A long-term temporary arrangement will begin at the Sorin Aukio tram stop on 20 July 2026 as overhead line installation works start for the new tramway extension. As a result, the usual turning point for tram line 3 at Sorin Aukio will be out of service.

During the temporary arrangement, trams will arrive at stop A or Stop B at sorin Aukio. Trams heading towards Hervanta will depart from the same stop at which they arrive.

During the busiest operating periods, such as weekdays between 7:00 and 21:00, trams will use Stops A and B alternately. At quieter times, stop B will usually serve as both the arrival and departure stop for line 3.

The temporary arrangement is expected to remain in place until March–April 2027.

Check the departure stop before you travel

Passengers are advised to check their departure stop in advance using the Nysse Journey Planner. Line 3 services may depart from:

• Sorin aukio A (0950)
• Sorin aukio B (0951)

At the stop, departure information is also shown on the passenger information displays. The next tram due to depart can be identified by its headlights being switched on and the destination display showing “3 Hervanta”.

Use the pedestrian crossing between stops

If you realise that you are at the wrong stop, you can safely move between Stops A and B using the pedestrian crossings. The pedestrian crossings are located at both ends of the platform area.
