We’ve received plenty of feedback that things used to be better. So we decided to test this out, and in honor of our 20th anniversary, we’re taking a look in the rearview mirror: we’ll be testing the 2006 route network for one day, on April 1.

Please note that the schedules shown on the map service are not accurate—they weren’t accurate 20 years ago either. Back then, too, we were always either a little early or seriously late, because public transit and 2006.

More high-floor diesel buses

In honor of our anniversary, we’re also updating our fleet to 2006 standards: there will be more high-floor diesel buses in service, so you can feel the step in your legs and nostalgia in your heart. We’re partially replacing air conditioning with natural ventilation.

Passengers are welcome to join in the celebration by dressing in the spirit of 2006—whatever that may have been? You can share your photos with the day’s theme—if we have time with all the anniversary hustle and bustle, we’ll pick out the best ones with the #Nysse2006 hashtag.
