The Kauppi Campus–bound route of line 16 will change on Monday, 4 May 2026 due to roadworks. When travelling towards Kauppi Campus, stops on Lautasenkatu and Ali-Huikkaantie will not be served. The route towards Takahuhti will continue to operate according to the detour route introduced in January.

Line 16 will operate to Kauppi Campus as follows: Huhmarinkatu – Kirjavaisenkatu – Huhmarinkatu – Jaakonmäenkatu (stop Jaakonmäenkatu 9951) – Teiskontie – Lääkärintie.

On the detour route, only one stop on Jaakonmäenkatu will be in use. From Ali-Huikkaantie, it is also possible to travel to Kauppi Campus via the Takahuhti terminus, which will increase travel time by approximately five minutes.

The line is expected to return to the Lautasenkatu and Ali-Huikkaantie route in midJune. Stops in Irjala will remain closed well into the autumn.
