Supporter march affects public transport on Saturday

Ice hockey supporters will march on Saturday 31 January 2026 from 15:00 onwards from Tammela towards Nokia Arena ahead of the hockey match. The march will cause delays in public transport and detours for buses 2, 7, 8 and 40.

The procession will follow the route Tammelantori – Tammelan puistokatu – Yliopistonkatu – Kalevantie – Sorin silta. The march will arrive at Nokia Arena between 15:30 and 16:00, depending on the number of participants (not known).

Impact on public transport

Trams 1 and 3 and buses 6, 29 and 90 will wait between Tulli and Sammonaukio while the procession crosses Itsenäisyydenkatu.

Bus 2: Detour via Armonkallio and Kyttälä approximately from 14:30 to 15:40.

  • Stops in use: railway station and Armonkallio.
  • Stops not in use: University stops, all stops on Yliopistonkatu and Tammelan puistokatu, and Osmonmäki.
  • The detour applies to both Rauhaniemi- and Särkänniemi-bound services.

Buses 7, 8 and 40: Detour via Sorsapuisto towards Kalevankangas approximately from 15:15 to 15:40.

  • Stops in use: railway station and Sorsapuisto.
  • Stop not in use: University stop.
  • Towards the city centre, buses operate normally and may drive behind the procession if needed.

The procession will cause delays to the timetables of all the above-mentioned lines. The event is organised by Tampereen Ilves supporters’ association Osasto 41.

Detours also after the ice hockey match

In the evening, from 18:45 to 20:15, buses will operate on detour routes in the area around Nokia Arena. These detours apply to lines 2, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 26, 27, 40, 42, 95 and 103.
