Traffic service can be affected by weather conditions, congestion, events or technical disruptions. Trips canceled in advance appear overlined in the real-time schedule services.
If your trip is interrupted, you can search for an alternative route using the Journey Planner.
May Day Special Situations
Events in Tampere city center will cause route changes:
- May Day Eve, April 30th from 23:50 to 00:30: Buses 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 30, 40, and 50.
- May Day, May 1st from 11:30 to 13:00: All buses on Hämeenkatu and Hämeenpuisto, as well as tram services will experience interruptions in the city center.
Special routes during traffic disruptions in the city center
The streets near Nokia Arena may be closed during major events to ensure the safety of the area. The bus lines operating Vuolteenkatu will then run special routes.
Special routes during Nokia Arena events
Hämeenkatu can be closed due to a significant traffic disruption, such as a demonstration or an accident. In this case, the tram service will be limited and the buses run around the center via Hämeenpuisto and Ratina.
Tram disruptions
Tram service may be interrupted due to track damage, for example. Find an alternative route using the Nysse Journey Planner.
If the disruption is prolonged, some bus lines may switch to alternative routes that follow tram routes. Buses will stop only at bus stops, not tram stops.

24R Lentävänniemi - Hiedanranta
A separate bus line, 3R, will be started only during significant disruptions on the route between Hervanta and the city center.
Exceptional routes due to works
Together with the contractor, we will organise exceptional routes to ensure that traffic is safe and causes as little inconvenience to passengers as possible.
Short-term exceptions will be announced in the Nysse journey planner and at stops and passenger displays. Long-term route changes will be updated in the journey planner as early as possible.
Trips canceled in advance appear crossed out in real-time schedule services. Sometimes the trip can be interrupted suddenly, for example due to a technical fault or an accident. In this case, the canceled trips are cannot be shown.
