The summer season starts on Monday 1 June 2026 and ends on Tuesday 4 August 2026. The season is scheduled to match educational institutions’ summer holidays.

The summer season will see the following changes:

  • Schedules will be adjusted to meet summer demand.
  • Routes intended for students and schoolchildren will be suspended.
  • Construction work at the Tampere rail yard will alter routes 6, 29, 42, and 90 in the city centre.
  • Routes 30 and 31 will run along Hatanpään valtatie on all departures. The detour via Lempääläntie will end.
  • Route 10 will service the Pyynikki Summer Theatre on performance days. A bus running about an hour before the start of the performance will stop in the theatre’s courtyard. After the performance ends, an extra bus will leave for Keskustori, not visible from Nysse’s journey planner.
  • The route network in Northern Tampere is being completely revised.
  • In Ylöjärvi, route 80 will be rerouted on a long-term diversion in Vuorentausta. Route 82 will be permanently diverted from Urkonmäki to Pallotie.
  • In addition, more trips have been added to route 60. The route is operated by the City of Valkeakoski and Traficom.

The summer service programme was approved by the Public Transit Committee on 3 December 2025.

  • Line 90 will continue operating to Tampere city centre.

Ylöjärvi route changes

Diversion route in Vuorentausta

Due to roadworks in Hattola, Ylöjärvi, route 80 runs on a diversion route on Pohjolantie from 1 June 2026. Some of the stops on Mastontie as well as all stops on Käyräkuja are off this route.

The diversion will be in use throughout the whole summer season. The route can be found in Nysse’s journey planner by choosing a day that falls within the summer season.

Permanent route change in Urkonmäki

Route 82 permanently avoids Urkonmäki. The new route runs via the Pallotie junction straight to the centre of Ylöjärvi. This improves connections from Metsäkylä and Elonvaino to Tampere. Pallotie is located between the Ylöjärvi ice stadium and Vaasantie. The new route will include stops on Pallotie and Vaasantie.

Line 84 continues to run via Urkonmäki.

Renovation at Tampere station continues

The northern underpass on Itsenäisyydenkatu will be closed for several years due to construction of the new travel terminal. Bus routes that normally use the underpass will be rerouted during the project. The exact start date is not yet confirmed.

Routes 6, 42, and 90 move from Rautatienkatu to Yliopistonkatu. The terminus of line 6 continues to be Sorin aukio E on Suvantokatu. Routes 42 and 90 run to the bus station.

Route 29 runs via Tammela and Armonkallio. Additionally, district heating construction work will start on the northern end of Rautatienkatu. Because of this, stops in Kyttälä (Rongankatu) will be out of use until the autumn. They are replaced by stops in Vapriikki (Lapintie).
